Happy endings still happen

July 28, 2011 - Bill Speer
Who doesn't like a happy ending?

If you fall into that category, then you have to smile this week at the rescue of a 42-year-old New York mechanic whose plane developed engine trouble over Lake Huron, and he crash landed into the lake several miles off the Michigan shore 105 miles north of Detroit. Listen to the attached video of his incredible tale by clicking on the video link found to the right of this column.

The pilot, Michael Trapp, spent 18 hours in the water before being rescued.

It's comforting to know that in this troubled and crazy world in which we live, miracles still can happen.
