Diane has been a member of The Alpena News editorial staff since 1989, with most of that spent as Lifestyles editor. During that time, she's covered a multitude of arts activities and organizations in the Alpena area. Before she joined The News staff, she worked for three years as a beat reporter for The Wheeling Intelligencer in Wheeling, W.Va., and one year as a reporter for her hometown newspaper, The Democrat Messenger in Waynesburg, Pa. She stays active in her community, where she currently serves on the Besser Museum's Founders Society board and at Word of Life Baptist Church. She is also a long-time member of the Cottage Book Club.
