Heather Fryske and Matthew Cherrette, both of Blairsville, Pa., announce their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Roger and Suzanne Fryske of Hawks. Her fiance is the son of Jerome Jr. and Victoria Cherrette of Rogers City. Heather is a 2003 graduate of Posen High School and attended Alpena Community College. She is employed by Creps United Publications as a graphic artist in Indiana, Pa. Matthew is a 2001 graduate of Rogers City High School, followed by three years of active duty in the U.S. Army, including two tours in Iraq. He is currently employed by the Michigan Army National Guard and will graduate in June 2009 from Wyotech Automotive School. The couple is planning a Sept. 27 wedding in Metz.
