Administration is ruining American dream
It's too bad that Bill Nicholson doesn't understand why some of us up north are upset with our present fascist, democrat (sic) leadership. Almost every proposed law, except that dealing with national defense, from this president and congress violates the U.S. Constitution. Congress is limited to those items listed in the enumerated powers of Art. I, Section 8. One item not listed there is the legal theft of our money by the congress. But, since FDR, and even before, they have been doing it. With their trillions of dollars of illegal spending this congress, guided by this president, have placed our country and succeeding generations into an unimaginable debt.
Nicholson complains that we haven't given this president a year to get things going. But he's the one who was going to hit the road running. He said that if the stimulus package he wanted wasn't passed unemployment would go up. It passed and unemployment has gone to almost 10 percent. He has appointed numerous tax cheats to his cabinet. He appointed a self-identified communist as one of his czars. He appointed as his school safety czar someone who ok'd a 16 year old male student (he thought he was 15) to continue a sexual relationship with an adult male. One of his appointees suggests the enforced sterilization of women through the water supply. Another wants animals to have the right to sue human beings. Another says that an individual is not a person until he reaches the age of 2 years. How did the American electorate choose such a corrupt and perverted administration?
Bill, the "true American dream" is the dream of liberty, of freedom, not the fascist, socialist, utopian universe which you so ardently desire.

Michigan is at 28%. That's "IF" you count those without a job who gave up looking for one because there are none. The government math professors don't count them by their own admission. Even the Bush admin used this trash math. It's not real #'s. Long live the republic...I mean democracy...I mean Monarchy.

social security was adopted as a temporary measure. The old folks that protest socialism don't see one bad move as a reason to blow up the rest of the ship. Now we know medicare part B will be done away with. I've always said people need to secure their own future without the need for help from government. Everyone looks forward to retirement. Well, that's gone! 10.2 percent are forced into early retirement. It's called "unemployment." But we rational people realize the real number is around 20%.

ExcellTrinity -- No one here is for forced sterilization due to ones mental capacity. After all some of us find the Tea Party participants cute even with their limited abilities for independent thought. Like the retired seniors living on social security and Medicare then meeting at a community center protesting socialism. The progressives have made the USA great for its citizens. Too bad the world bankers and corporations are out to destroy it by sending jobs overseas for slave labor.

The number one internet money maker was and maby still is movie clips of undressed, embracing humans. That the common word used for this activity got astericked (censored)is what scares rational people. Freedom of expression is one of the freedoms the holy rollers are still trying to take from us. Who censored the word and more importantly, why? Can we say the word "graphy" without being censored? Maby the Taliban has taken over this blog and 'soon' the women of Alpena will be wearing hair scarfs under their Burkas. Hopefully rational thinking will prevail and we can love ourselves for what we are, animals, mammals and primates.

Chrysler is down 30%...yes...30% from last year at this time. They got "stimulus" cash...right? BILLIONS! GM is only up 3%! Ford or freaking rocking due to people leaving prior passions for their former "pet manufacturer." Ford was smart. It remains public. Take that GM and Chrysler! So...Buffet paid 44 billion for a RR. Good for him. Makes sense since RR's are exempt from most laws regulating all other private industry. They have their own police force. Civil law enforcement officer CANNOT arrest an engineer even if he is slobbering drunk...on duty! Smart move Buffet!

The point was the heading of this article, and several examples as to why it is bunk. Today's headlines include Warren Buffitt purchasing the Burlington Railroad for 44 billion, saying he was going all in on America. Why would he do that if the Administration was ruining the American dream? He's a pretty smart man, isn't he?

Gmlogmd...Don't worry about amos57...he's afraid of Christians or anyone who believes in moral turpitude. It's evident in all his writings. He somehow feels he must defend himself from the murderous right. Fear of Christmas trees and manger scenes made him a social hermit, forcing him to reside in a pixy dust Disney adventure. He has yet to be defended by anyone on this channel. Fact is, nobody wants to sahme themselves as proclaiming their advocacy...and for good reason!

jasxpp...How did Ford make a profit if they are not part of the "recovery act?" They refused socialist moneys. Seems people steered away from companies who bent over and took the "free" money, for which more and more are refusing to pay back. As you sleep, patriots make advances in resistance to socialistic actions. GM workers are now part of the hammer and sicle control. You failed to cite GM or Chrysler profits, for which they are down. Good try old friend. Better luck next time!

gmlog..I have been paying school tax since the 60's for other peoples kids. That is socialism and where have you been for the last 40 years? If humans have a 'spirit' where is it and how much does it weigh? Our desire to be free has prevailed. Women are free to make reproductive choices, our schools are free of all of the gods and men are free to watch endless free *********** despite the Chrislican attempts to keep us from having these freedoms.

Even in the worst days of the Soviet Socialist Republic there were entrepreneurs making things happen. It wasn't a result of socialist goverment policy, rather it was in spite of it. BO and some of the Democrats would like to make this country socialist and stifle our freedoms. I assert this will bring those of us who love freedom out to fight in the political arena and elsewhere if necessary. The human spirit's need to be free will prevail.

The economy is not improving? The title of the article is "Administration is ruining American dream". Headlines for 11/2 "Ford announces billion dollar profit, sees profitable 2010." Think the Ford family sees the end of the American dream? "Firehouse Subs announce major expansion in 2010" Why would they do this if the dream was over?" "Three major economic indicators up" Really? The dream is over, they should be down. "Stanley aquires Black & Decker" Why make acquisitions? The dream is over, isn't it?

Besides, I don't know how you can grow when unemployment has NOT risen one bit...according to LORD GEITHNER! The jobs you cite are government jobs, all of which are temporary by law in the "recovery act." Most are due to end around Christmas. Way to go government! You think I'm a Republican...but I'm not. You make assumptions about me without reason. You are partisan, which your God Obama said he wouldn't be. So much for campaign promises pal!

If you think this economy is recovering, you got another thing coming. Almost ALL of the money given to the banks is still there. Wait until they release it! Instant 120% increase in inflation! That ticking sound is not your watch. It's a time bomb! Yet you still remain stiff-necked and dwell on past idiots. Confront the idiots we have in office now! They are the ones who have your future in the palm of their hands. The Liberals have you right where they want you...in the PAST!

Let's talk about bad with a capital B. By this time in Bush's first term we had been attacked on our own soil through his administration's gross negligence, the Dow had crashed, Dubya had taken 2 months vacation, and Cheney was looking for a way to invade Iraq. If a Republican had done even one-tenth as much as Obama has done in 9 months Excel would be writing orgasmic prose asking for his sainthood.

The present problems? Were you out of the country in January when we were on the verge of a world-wide financial collapse? The banking system, Wall Street, the automopbile industry, housing, and on and on it went. The common talk was we were on the verge of a 2nd Great Depression. Were you there, or was your head stuck up your behind as per usual, since you like to hurl personal insults Excel? Now how do you feel only 9 months later? The Dow is back to 10,000, housing permits are up again, grwoth was 3.5 % this quarter, and so on and on. Give Obama the full 4 years and we will be back to Clinton economy no thanks to the Party of No.

Why don't you start a business, Earl? Who's stopping you? By the way, when Clinton left office, there were surpluses as far as the eye could see. Dubya, with several rounds of trickle-down to his wealthy buddies, turned them into deficits as far as the eye could see. Did you lament about the future generations then, or were you one of the recipients of the tax-cuts for the wealthy? Or are you still waiting for something to trickle-down on your head?
