We don’t need gov’t in health care business

POSTED: November 6, 2009

Health Care for now?

I received a "robo" call from Health Care America Now. The automated message urged me to call Congressman Stupak's office to thwart "big insurance company efforts to" I pressed 1 to be immediately connected to Congressman Stupak's office. I added my vote against the Health Care Reform as currently being debated.

Health Care for Now ran a very persuasive television ad for the Presidents' health care plan. It seems like common sense, seems like it offers everything in a reliable health care plan that all Americans need and should be willing to pay for ... as did the phone message this morning.

If you go to the web site for HCAN you will find the third largest contributing member is ACORN. ACORN is also No. 1 member, Michigan chapter of HCAN and a member of the "Steering" Committee. HCAN has an extensive membership list on which you will find hundreds of organizations willing to support this very, very expensive "Health Care Reform" campaign. These organizations are not "tax paying" entities but funded by special interest groups, some would like to change our constitution and our social agenda.

We already have a national health care plan - Medicaid and Medicare. If they are not working then fix them. The organizational structure is already there we will not have to pay billions to set up "administration" for these new plans and wait for two years to implement.

Congress and the President just don't get it. We don't want a public option. The message is no. We do not want to pay for abortions, care for illegals, euthanasia.all are included now. Please do the research. We don't want government-run health care. Period.

Call and add your vote against government run health care.

Karen Pettalia

excell.. If I was weak and fearful I could join a church group to support a silly fantasy that when we die, we dont die. Some of us are capable of standing alone.

Is there a website where I can read that pledge, or is this just something you made up and carry out alone? Oathkeepers**** is where you can find mine. I've shown you mine, now you show me yours. I guarantee mines bigger!

excel..Now you lied about my being apethetic. My oath keepers pledge is to shoot the first god I see and I stand armed, ready and patriotic to the cause of killing all the gods and ending expensive holy wars. Very conservative.

yet another act of apathy by amos and surefoot is that they do not agree with the Oath keepers pledge. The one pledge that is designed to uphold the oath all members of the military took when they joined. These pledges are designed to protect the people. I guess surefoot and amos aren't people. You are apathy! Nowhere in your apathetic speech is there one ounce of duty or patriotism that reflects those oaths. Shameful!

That's the difference between you and I surefoot. I have the intestinal fortitude to stand up and be recognized like our forefathers in the face of tyranny. I write my name big on the document of freedom and pledge my fortune knowing I am considered the enemy of tyranny and considered treasonist by world government. I care not who knows who I am. Nobody calls me a coward for taking a stand. I spit in the face of fear. But, that's what separates you from me! Long live the Republic!

redbaron -- I have five relatives living in Canada and they all say their health care is great.

Not if it is anything like the other countries that tell us to stay away from it. They have been through it themselves and have suffered.

excell..In 1969 CEOs made 24% more than workers, in 1980 it was 40% more and now it's 400% more. Why blame the drug companies for being capitalists. Blame the republicans and democrats for allowing this distortion to occur. At least Barry isn't calling for another Bush tax cut for the rich.

excel..I'll vote for your smowmoblie if you vote for my brothel and together we can stand tall against the "guise of the better good". It's too bad you won't put your vote where your mouth is but put your money in the "guise of security"; the collection plate for the trip to Never Never land.

I just said I would look at the government plan. I didn't mean to have Excell morph into Timothy McVeigh.

Excelltrinity you voluntarily join the camp. You did say you were in the army; you can’t be under government more then that. They have prints and know all about you now. So you should not point finger about being controlled by the government. Come to think about you have been more depended on the government then I have. Now give me twenty push up and a cup of coffee.

Yup! You can board a plane and know without a doubt your travel patterns are being watched and recorded with the feds. You can drive a car and be mandated by the Govt to buy insurance from a private company. ALL of which are unconstitutional. Be careful what you allow under the guise of "security" and "The better good." Little by little it gets chipped away until one day there's nothing left buy a pile of useless trash. History proves it every time! See you at camp surefoot!

The person complaining below may need medication. He lives at the best time in history and in a good country. He can drive an automobile that the richest man alive a hundred years ago would have died for. He can board a plane and in a matter of hour be anywhere in the world. Should he have a medical problem or injure himself, an emergency crew will arrive, no matter where he is and help him, giving the best service available. I can’t even start to mention all the modern convinces. The progressives that made all this possible and can never be thanked enough. Then comes the Tea Party ninnies who happen to watch the Fox news and now want to live back in 1780. Well become Amish and stop your complaining. Get a clue they .just want your money, be sure to buy all their books, letters and tee-shirts.

There are 3 boxes I use to keep my country on the right track. The ballot box, the jury box, and the ammo box. All 3 are in the constitution and mandated that we perform our duty. All military and police personnel take an oath to protect us from ALL enemies, both foreign AND domestic. That duty does not end after leaving said profession. The blue helmets of the UN have no right to be here and constitutes a blatant act of treason. You sheeple cannot even see your hand in front of your face!

ExcellTrinity

I ask anyone who resists this act of treason by our government toward the citizens to resist in entirety, signing up for government provided care. Do it on mass! Let the government punish you for not doing so. Maybe we will get to see what all those FEMA concentration camps are for that dot our great land. That is the only way they can put 10's of thousands of patriots in prison. SCREW the bill! Constitution rules. All military, police, and vets better join Oath Keepers. You took an oath. Keep it!

Did you know that Pres Clinton quietly signed Executive order 13139 on Sept 30th, 1999? This order requires military personnel to receive experimental vaccines NOT approved by the FDA and denies the soldiers the right to refuse or even to receive informed consent as to what they are receiving. WHAT IS IN THE NEW BILL? NOBODY REALLY KNOWS EXCEPT DEM's! You people need to start asking...no, demanding answers of your reps. I will not be vaccinated with any drug...period! NO WAY!

ExcellTrinity
11-10-09 4:51 PM
Get ready for forced vaccinations and Un-UNICEF-WHO, and WTO to have legislation placed in this bill, or in future amendments to it. Bush did this with Project Bio Shield in July of 2004.

Jaxspp...I seriously believe your mentality that government has your best interests at heart is going to make everyone suffer the way you will. You don't even know what has changed in the bill. Neither do I. This should raise a red flag to any citizen. Why do you welcome being a mushroom...kept in the dark about your health? What does the gov't have to gain by not allowing you and I to see what's going to run our lives? There would be an outcry from you if this was Bush doing this. It's two-faced!

Just got my 2010 insurance plan. Premiums +10%. Deductibles, out of pocket maxes, all increased. Will I be looking at the public option plan when it passes? Yep. And Ms. Pettalia? She is welcome to keep her BC/BS or whatever she has. But her answer to the increases mentioned above? She repeats the Republican mantra, just say no to everything.

Amos...why don't you have a look at the drug company profits? Let's take a look shall we!

The top 5 drug companies...35.3 BILLION

ALL OTHER FORTUNE 500 COMPANIES COMBINED...33.2 BILLION!

This was in 2005! Tell me, who's got the REAL wealth here? But, nobody blames the drug companies.

aqua..You are right.. 'we have an afford it problem". We cant afford to pay insurance company CEOs $57,000 per hour.

Of course government should take place of all health insurance companies, their operating cost are to high. It is unrealistic to convert from one system to another all at one time; it needs to be done in steps. How to pay for it offer a lot of opportunities, eliminating the self serving insurance companies way will encourage creative ideas on how to do it. In history there is always people saying it can’t be done, they have to be dragged into the future just to keep all the rest of us from living in caves.
