NEWTON, John D., 88, of Hillman died Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Touch of Country Care Home in Alpena.
He is survived by two daughters, Diane (Dennis) Schlak of Gaylord, and Vera Schultz of Hillman; five grandsons, Derrick, Travis, Ian, Glenn and Jerret; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is at the Bannan Funeral Home in Hillman where friends may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and where funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Donald R. Derby officiating.
Interment will be at Hillman Rust Cemetery.
