Thunder Bay Junior High’s National Honors Society participated in a variety of events at Plaza Pool on Sunday. Thirty-two eighth grade students were invited to the mini leadership summit to kayak, practice water survival skills, snorkeling, photography, shipwreck surveying, scuba, and work with ROVs. Instructor Mike Olsen led the summit, and said students enjoyed hands-on activities as well as lectures about invasive species and careers in marine technology.
