THOMPSON, George Edward, 80, Alpena died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Alpena Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Evagene; two children, Laurie (Joe) Hobbs of North Carolina, and Mark of Herron; four grandchildren, Tom, Julie, Ned and Cole; one sister, Marilyn Colby of Alpena; and one niece.
Memorial visitation will be held Monday at the First United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 p.m. with Rev. Eugene Bacon officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
