Amanda Gehrke and Michael Ryder were united in marriage July 28, 2012 on the shore of Mullet Lake in Cheboygan. Bishop Donald Kreiss officiated the 4 p.m. double-ring ceremony.

Following the beachside ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Cheboygan.

The bride is the daughter of Arlin and Judy (Gryniewicz) Gehrke of Farmington Hills and the granddaughter of Vic and Betty Gehrke of Alpena and the late Nick and Ann Gryniewicz. The groom is the son of Amy Williamson and Richard Ryder of Farmington, and the grandson of Art and Gay Heidt of The Village, Fla.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was her friend since childhood, Samantha Blair. Bridesmaids were Heather Gehrke, sister of the bride; Sara Karpinski, cousin of the bride; and friends Alexandra Kozak, Radhika Bhula, Erica Trierweiler, Sarah Ring and Kristine Kendall. Flower girls were twins Rachel and Lauren Johnston.

Attending the groom as best men were his brothers, Matt Ryder and Tommy Williamson. Groomsmen were Luke Gehrke, brother of the bride; and friends James Graessle, Eric Haapaniemi and Chris Dietrich. Ring bearers were Nathaniel Beck, cousin of the bride; and Drew Kachadourian, nephew of the groom.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Key West, Fla., and are residing in Rockville, Md.
