Republican attempts to unseat Obama backfire

November 30, 2012
The Alpena News

The Republican Party (the "No!" party) in its willingness to sacrifice all in its attempt to unseat President Obama in the last presidential election by keeping the government in limbo and shutting down the economy with the hope that if things went bad enough Mitt Romney would be sure to win the election has left itself in danger of now being irrelevant.

This sounds of blasphemy. Just how did this happen?

On Jan. 1, 2013, The United States of America will go over the "Fiscal Cliff" (a tipping point); and it will be the Democrats, the party of the majority that is in power, that will act to save the country by cutting taxes.

On this date that taxes automatically go much higher as the result of sequestration, and there will be a great urgency at this time to take immediate action leaving the normally submissive Democrats with final say in exactly how and when and which taxes are going to be cut. The end result is a perfect win-win scenario for the Democrats in balancing the budget by raising revenues and being able to cut taxes all at the very same time.

The "No!" party can sit on the sidelines. Its chickens finally coming home to roost.
