The Alpena News

The Besser Male Chorus, now in its 66th year, will present its annual Christmas concert Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.

Under the direction of Bernice "Bunny" Lyon, the chorus will perform many traditional Christmas favorites. Included this year will be "The First Noel," "How Great Our Joy," "Silver Bells" and "Silent Night." The chorus will be accompanied by Suelyn Bartz on piano and Mary Ann Hubbard on flute.

Jessica Pearson, granddaughter of 53-year member Eldon Grabow, will be the soloist for "O Holy Night."

A quartet comprised of Grabow, Davis Usher, Ronald Karr and Rick Grulke will sing "The Christmas Song" and "The Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth."

Lyon and Bartz will perform a piano/organ duet of "O Come Emmanuel."
