ST. IGNACE-The Rogers City wrestling team took third place at the St. Ignace Lions Inviational on Saturday, with three of the Hurons' wrestlers taking first place and two taking second place.
The Hurons finished with 135 points, behind only Gladstone (179) and Sault Ste. Marie (138). Other schools competing were: Grayling (4th, 109); St. Ignace (5th, 95); Manistique (6th, 89.5); Mio (7th, 85); Rudyard (8th, 60); Grand Rapids Christian (9th, 51); Mancelona (10th, 49); Cheboygan (11th, 42); Newberry (12th, 22) and Munising (13th, 14).
First-place finishers for Rogers City were: Cameron Urban at 125 pounds, Evan Lamb at 140 pounds and Caleb Pommerenke at 189 pounds. Second-place finishers were Justin Saile at 103 pounds and Jake Sobeck at 130 pounds.
Austin Bober at 152 pounds and Jack Ryan at 160 pounds both took fourth place in their respective weight classes.

Arenac Eastern 42, Fairview 31
FAIRVIEW-The Fairview girls basketball team dropped to 0-3 on the season with a 42-31 loss to Arenac Eastern in a North Star League game on Friday.
