I was dismayed but not surprised to see a "No Dogs" sign on the Bay View Park tennis court fence. I thought that might happen because some people take their dogs into the tennis court for a romp and don't pick up after them. Since dogs can and will be banned from public spaces if they cause enough trouble, this inconsiderate behavior unfairly affects responsible dog owners who walk their dogs daily and want to include them in activities whenever possible. And who I might add, rightly consider picking up a small sacrifice.
Please pick up after your dog. You know who you are and you know better. You know leaving dog piles behind violates a city ordinance and is simply bad manners. Please start doing the right thing before we lose more dog-friendly public spaces.
