Harley riders, respect and the stereotype

August 19, 2014
Alpena News

I found myself reading an article on how Harley riders are disrespectful based on a flat tire on the side of the road. Anyone who rides, regardless of what they ride, has the passion for wind in their face. The bike does not make you different from any rider, you are the difference on the bike. I do ride a Harley and I will show respect to anyone on two or four wheels, so will my friend who rides his Suzuki. Along with some friends and family, I do not dress ''biker"; it does not make us less or more than other riders or people. It all depends on the person in my overall opinion, I have been stranded on the road and not one person stopped, I saw many different kinds of bikes and vehicles drive by me. As always ride safe and those who don't ride, look twice.
