Philip Techel and Rachael Marwede

Janet Freeman of Alpena and Alan Marwede of Herron are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachael Lee Marwede, to Philip Julius Techel of Gaylord.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Alpena High School and Alpena Community College. She recently received her bachelor’s degree from University of Phoenix in Healthcare Management. Rachael is currently studying to attain her master’s degree and is employed by Alcona Health Center.

The future groom is a graduate of Gaylord High School. He has been employed by M&M Excavating for 17 years as a heavy equipment operator.

The couple is planning an October 2021 wedding.
