Mike Arzo donates toys, Arzo Amusement Park passes to graduating kindergartners
ALPENA — Graduating kindergartners at Immanuel Lutheran School have one more reason to be excited, thanks to a generous donor. Mike Arzo, owner of Arzo Amusement Park in Alpena, donated remote-controlled toy cars and Arzo Amusement Park passes to graduating kindergartners at Immanuel Lutheran School.
“Spreading joy and making memories,” Arzo said. “It’s a wonderful feeling knowing that we can bring happiness to our little ones at Immanuel Lutheran School in Alpena.”
He added that it’s all about the kids.
“Their smiles say it all! We’re grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in their lives,” Arzo said.
Lauren Larsen, representing Arzo, presented the gifts to teacher Cindy Bell on Wednesday morning. Mike Arzo lives in Southfield, and also presents gifts to kindergartners at two elementary schools downstate.
“He comes up every summer, especially on weekends, to operate the park,” Larsen said. “He’s always been a very generous man.”
Larsen met her husband, Karl Larsen, while working at Arzo about 16 years ago.
Arzo Amusement Park is located at 6051 U.S.-23 North, on the corner of Bloom Road and U.S.-23.
