Andrew Grabiel and Sophia Johnson

ALPENA — Andrew Grabiel, of Alpena, and Sophia Johnson, of Fenwick, are excited to announce their engagement. They became engaged on the evening of July 6, 2024 on Besser Bell Beach in Presque Isle.

Andrew is the son of Don and Julie Grabiel of Alpena. Andrew graduated from Alpena High School in 2016, from Alpena Community College in 2018, and from Ferris State University in 2023 with a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. He is currently employed at the University of Michigan Health — Sparrow hospital in Lansing.

Sophia is the daughter of Rich and Heather Johnson of Fenwick, Michigan. Sophia graduated from Central Montcalm High School in 2015, from Ferris State University in 2018, and from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2022 with a Doctorate of Optometry degree. She is currently employed with MyEyeDr Company in Jackson and Mason.

Andrew and Sophia are planning their wedding for the fall of 2025.
