LeRoy and Coralee Campbell celebrating 70th anniversary today
LeRoy and Coralee Campbell are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary today.
They were married on Sept. 7, 1954 at Coralee’s parents’ home on Wallace Road in Wilson Township. They eventually settled on King Settlement Road, where they raised their family and still live today.
On Saturday, July 6, at Besser Bell, their family and friends celebrated them with food, pinata fun and stories from days gone by. Beautiful music was played by their very talented grandchildren. Erin Campbell and her husband Lee Dyer sang and played a set. And a special request song had their son Glenn Campbell join in. Next, their grandson Joe Thompson and his wife Holly performed a beautiful set. Closing out the program, their five children sang to them. Coralee kept saying she was overwhelmed by all of the love.
Here are the Campbell bunch (their children and spouses): Glenn (Buffy Storey) Campbell, Sherry (James) Moore, Vicki (Michael) Sokol, Dawn (Mark) Thompson, and John (Bethany Strong) Campbell. They have 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
