Alpena library hours changing

ALPENA — Beginning Nov. 1, the Alpena County Library will be changing its operating hours to the following: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and closed on Sundays and holidays.

The library opens at 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month for staff training.

Bridge results announced

ALPENA — Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club results have been announced for this week.

Jackie Kennedy and Loretta Reynolds tied for first place with Deanna Brege and Linda Clegg.

Second place went to Eve Phillips and Linda Ferguson, followed in third place by Beverley Rousseau and Marcy Sherman.

Holiday Jump Start craft show Nov. 2 at First Presbyterian

ALPENA — First Presbyterian Church of Alpena will host the Holiday Jump Start craft show and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2.

The church is located at the corner of Chisholm Street and Long Rapids Road.
