Alpena Sportsmen’s Club sight-in days start Friday

ALPENA — In preparation for firearm hunting season, Alpena Sportsmen’s Club is having sight-in days for guns at their club.

Sight-in days will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday through Nov. 14. Targets will be provided. Stop in and register in the club and pay the required fee of $7 per person.

Alpena Sportsmen’s Club is located at 4260 M-32 in Alpena.

Community shoebox packing party Nov. 8 for Operation Christmas Child

ALPENA — Harvest Community Church is hosting a community shoebox packing party for Operation Christmas Child, with the goal of packing over 600 boxes to be sent to children around the world.

The event will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8 at Free Methodist Church on Ripley Boulevard in Alpena.

After packing the boxes, coffe and cookies will be offered during a time of fellowship.
