Vince and Mary Call celebrate 50 years
The children of Vince and Mary (Blair) Call joyfully announce their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple exchanged vows on Sept. 21, 1974, at St. Andrew’s Church in Saginaw, Michigan. They established their home in Alpena in 1976, where they raised two daughters and shared countless adventures on Lake Winyah Road.
Vince dedicated 38 years to serving Michigan families as a child and family services social worker, retiring in 2008.
Mary devoted her career to caring for the elderly and contributing to the Alpena Public Schools and Alpena Community College, until retiring in 2011.
Active members of the community, Vince and Mary are founding members of the Thunder Bay Trails Club. Avid outdoor enthusiasts, they enjoy swimming laps at the Plaza Pool, exploring the Great Lakes by kayak, nordic skiing and biking local roads and forest trails.
Their daughters, Erynn (Wes) Call Ashe of Brewer, Maine, and Katie Call of Grand Rapids, and their cherished grandchildren, Greyson and Larkin Ashe of Brewer, Maine, join them in celebrating this momentous milestone.
