First Congregational United Church of Christ will host a Christmas open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20.

ALPENA — First Congregational United Church of Christ will host a Christmas open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, at the church, 201 S. 2nd Ave., downtown Alpena.

The community is welcome to come enjoy the Christmas spirit in their historical church gifted in 1954 by Jesse and Anna Besser.

The evening will include refreshments, tours, and music.

The public is also invited to First Congregational’s Christmas Eve Worship service on Tuesday, Dec. 24. A musical prelude will begin at 6:30 p.m., with a candlelight service at 7 p.m.
