Ella White Christmas Bazaar Dec. 7 at Thunder Bay Jr. High

ALPENA — The Ella White Parent Teacher Organization and Ella White Elementary School invite the community to their annual Christmas Bazaar, to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Thunder Bay Junior High School.

The event will feature over 60 vendors, a PTO bake sale, and classroom raffle baskets, with the drawing to be held at 2 p.m. All proceeds from the classroom raffle baskets go back to the classrooms. Tickets will be sold near the media center.

There will also be a barbecue pulled pork sandwich fundraiser to support the eighth grade Shooters travel basketball team.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be at the event.

Country Christmas Craft Show Dec. 14 in Spruce

SPRUCE — Find something for everyone on your list at the Country Christmas Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Caledonia Township Hall, 6421 Gillard Road, Spruce.

Shop local vendors and small businesses featuring crafts, jewelry, baked goods, wreaths, ornaments, home decor, stationary, soaps, candles, and more.

This is a free admission event. Enjoy hot chocolate while you shop. Fat Freddies food truck will be on-site.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are scheduled to visit from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. There will be door prizes.

The Dance Centre presents The Nutcracker Dec. 14 and 15

ALPENA — The Dance Centre presents The Nutcracker: A Sunrise Side Production, featuring over 100 local participants, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15 at the Alpena High School auditorium. Tickets are on sale now. All seats are reserved. Call 989-356-1439 for reservations. Proceeds will benefit local nonprofit organizations.

Also on Dec. 14, A Nutcracker Tea Party will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Alpena High School commons. Desserts and hot drinks will be served. Children will meet the Nutcracker characters, do crafts, and receive an autographed poster. The cost for the tea party is $15 per child, and $10 per accompanying adult. Proceeds from the tea party will benefit the Vietnam Veterans Toys for Kids program.

Bridge results announced

ALPENA — Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club results have been announced for this week.

Gordon Bennett and Marge French placed first, Beverley Rousseau and Marcy Sherman came in second place, and Linda Clegg and Deanna Brege placed third.
