Temple Beth-El welcomes Rabbi Gabrielle Pescador
ALPENA — Temple Beth-El Alpena is pleased to welcome Rabbi Gabrielle Pescador who will be leading their Shabbat service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16.
Rabbi Pescador serves as rabbi of the Ann Arbor Reconstructionist Congregation and before that served as Interim Spiritual Leader of Temple B’nai Israel of Petoskey. She is also an ordained cantor and has served as a guest cantor in synagogues throughout the country. Rabbi Pescador is a harpist and composer of liturgical music who considers the harp to be an instrument of healing and heart-opening that helps people move more deeply into prayer. Attendees will have the opportunity and privilege to experience this during the service.
The public is invited to join Temple Beth-El for a joyous, meaningful Shabbat service followed by a buffet luncheon. Seating is limited at both the Shabbat service and luncheon, so please call 989-595-3544 for reservations and important information, including the access number if you would like to join the service via Zoom.
Temple Beth-El’s Guest Rabbi program is sponsored in part by the generosity of the Ravitz Foundation Initiative for Michigan Small Jewish Communities as well as donations by Temple Beth-El members and friends.
