Applications for Bailey Fund Health Care scholarships available now
Applications to the Bernard F. and Melissa Anne Bailey Family Fund Health Care Scholarship program at MyMichigan Health are now available for the 2025-2026 school year.
Students may access the application online at mymichigan.org/bailey. Applications and support documentation will only be accepted electronically. The deadline for the 2025-2026 school year is Tuesday, April 1.
The fund, initiated through a $3.3 million bequest left by Bernard Bailey to MyMichigan, was established to further the goals of students pursuing clinical health care careers from an accredited college or university. Under the stewardship of the MyMichigan Health Foundation, scholarships are awarded to students in health care fields on the basis of merit and established criteria as determined by an overseer committee.
Interested applicants must be a resident or have immediate family living in any of the following Michigan counties: Alcona, Alpena, Arenac, Bay, Cheboygan, Chippewa, Clare, Crawford, Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Iosco, Isabella, Mackinac, Mecosta, Midland, Montcalm, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, Roscommon, Saginaw, or Sanilac.
In the 2024-2025 school year, $205,700 was awarded to 89 students pursuing health care careers. More than $2.2 million in total has been granted by the Bailey Family Fund to assist area students since it began offering health care scholarships in 2005.
