PRESQUE ISLE — Christmas is coming to Presque Isle on Saturday, and everyone is invited to join in the fun.

Christmas in Presque Isle will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday in Presque Isle Township.

Presque Isle community groups have come together with a great lineup of activities for merrymakers of all ages. All events are posted on the Presque Isle Happenings calendar: presqueislelighthouses.org/visit/presque-isle-happenings-calendar.

From 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., hear children’s stories at the Grand Lake branch of Presque Isle District Library.

From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., there will be refreshments and gift basket drawings at the Portage Store, presented by PI FunRaisers.

Lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., by donation, at the East Grand Lake Fire Hall. There will be hot dogs, chili, chips, and drinks.

A Christmas Carol Sing-Along will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. at Grand Lake Chapel.

Horse-drawn wagon rides will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. at the New Presque Isle Lighthouse Park, by Presque Isle Township Parks and Recreation.

Friends of Grand Lake Library will host a story walk with a winter-themed book.

Presque Isle Township Museum Society will offer photos with Santa, decorated house tours, and children’s crafts at the 1905 Keeper’s House. They will also be collecting donations of children’s sized hats, gloves, mittens, and socks from 1 to 7 p.m.

In Garrity Hall, Presque Isle Community Women’s Club will offer cookies and cocoa, children’s activities, and a children’s play.

At 4 p.m., Presque Isle Harbor Association will host a Lighthouse Trails Hike starting from New Presque Isle Lighthouse Park.

Then at 6 p.m. will be the Christmas Tree Lighting by Presque Isle Township Parks and Recreation. There will be Christmas carols by Community Singers, and hot chocolate provided by the Presque Isle Township Museum Society.
