Christmas is a time for joy
Senior Attitudes
Revenge is not worth the effort or the angry feeling you have that spoils joy. I’d be glad of a retaliation that wouldn’t recoil on myself, but treachery and violence are spears pointed at both ends. They wound those who resort to using them worse than their enemies. We only have to look at the conflicts in Israel and Ukraine to see how the innocents suffer because of hate, anger, and the desire for retaliation.
Holding on to anger fills the mind and heart so there is no room for happiness and joy. Christmas is a time for happiness and joy. I love hearing “Merry Christmas” coming from people I don’t know.
We always make a birthday cake for Christmas day so we can properly celebrate the birth of he who is the reason for the season.
I’ve been traveling for the season to visit children and grandchildren. I am so lucky to be still able to do it and to be (I think) wanted. Part of my travels will take me to the south and I am the weirdo who will miss the snow.
My yard leprechauns never see the need for shoveling. They just think it’s fun to watch. No Christmas cookies for them! Oh, okay. That sounds like retribution. I guess I’d better put a few outside.
I hope everyone here in my chosen home has a very Merry Christmas.
