ALPENA — Santa Claus is coming to town!

Jolly Old Saint Nick will be chauffered around Alpena on a city fire truck starting at 6 p.m. tonight, and again at 6 p.m. on Sunday and Monday.

He will be waving to residents and spreading Christmas cheer as he passes through each neighborhood in Alpena.

Alpena Fire Department Deputy Chief Andy Marceau said the fire department provides this festive opportunity each year “to bring joy to our community. The community is so supportive of the fire department. It’s just one little token we can give back.”

Santa will be visiting a different area of Alpena each night. To view the maps of his routes for tonight, Sunday and Monday, see this story at thealpenanews.com, or visit Alpena City Firefighters L623 on Facebook.
