ALPENA — Members of the Kiwanis Club of Alpena recently visited area elementary schools to make their annual donation of student dictionaries for every third-grade student.

This project aligns with the spirit of the Kiwanis Club Mission — “Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children.”

“We are thankful for this generous gift by our community partners at Kiwanis as they work to support reading and learning by our students,” said Lee Fitzpatrick, director of communications for Alpena Public Schools.
