Soup and sandwich dinner Jan. 16 at Spratt Church

LACHINE — A soup, sandwich, and dessert dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16 at Spratt United Methodist Church. Sponsored by the women’s group, the dinner will be held at the church, 7440 M-65 South, Lachine, located one mile south of Werth Road.

The cost is $12 per adult, and free for children younger than age 12.

The public is welcome to attend.

New Life hosting WOVEN women’s meeting Tuesday

ALPENA — All women (junior high age and up) are warmly invited to attend a WOVEN women’s meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at New Life Christian Fellowship, 317 S. Ripley Blvd., Alpena. It will take place in the lower level fellowship room and begin with a shared meal, then a speaker on a biblical vision for the new year. There is no cost for this event.
