Euchre tournament fundraiser for the Plaza Pool on Sunday

ALPENA — A euchre tournament fundraiser for the Plaza Pool will be held on Sunday, Jan. 19 at a new location, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1960 M-32, Alpena.

This fundraiser will be hosted by the Friends of Plaza Pool. Doors open at noon and play starts at 1 p.m.

The cost is $20 per person. There will be cash prizes to be determined by the number of participants. There will also be a $1 entry for high game, food, a 50/50 drawing, and door prizes.

Yankee Station concert Saturday at the APlex

ALPENA — Yankee Station will perform a concert on Saturday at the APlex in Alpena.

Experience live music, delicious food, and a vibrant atmosphere that will keep you entertained throughout the night. Whether you’re a fan of rock, pop, or country music, there’s something for everyone at Yankee Station.

Admission is $16 per person. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Get tickets at aplex.org. The APlex is located at 701 Woodward Ave., Alpena.

Friends Together hosting Zendoodle art class Jan. 21

ALPENA — Friends Together will host Art With Friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 105 Prentiss St., Alpena. Guest instructor Vanessa Werle will lead the class in Zendoodle techniques.

Learn how to create mindful art. Supplies are provided, but registration is required to ensure there are enough. As always, there is no charge for this class. Whether you are creating art or appreciating it, the emotional response is meaningful in many ways. Learn to harness the power of creativity and beauty through art while engaging with others who have been impacted by cancer.
