ALPENA — On Monday, Feb. 17, the Alpena High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Girls Basketball teams hosted the annual Pink Game against The Sault Area Blue Devils in the Wildcat Gymnasium.
AHS team members and their families held a bake sale, raffles and a 50/50 drawing to raise $1,002 for Friends Together, a local nonprofit cancer support center.
Friends Together thanks all the young athletes and commend them for their sportsmanship and their efforts to raise both cancer awareness and funds to support those impacted by this disease.
