Courtesy Photo Friends Together would like to thank the Alpena Police Department for their dedication to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They held a fundraiser during the month of October, collecting donations for patches and ceramic tokens promoting awareness for those affected by breast cancer. Together they raised $1,055 to help support Friends Together, a nonprofit cancer support center that helps patients during their time of need. Friends Together offers transportation, gas cards, lodging, support groups and workshops, plus many additional services free of charge.
