Association of Lifelong Learners offering many March programs
ALPENA — The Association of Lifelong Learners offers a variety of educational and entertaining programs. The organization has announced its March schedule, with many interesting options available.

∫ Monday, March 3 from 10 to 11 a.m. — Continual Clothing Tote Bag Workshop, with Olivia Miller, at M. Briggs Center, 665 Johnson St., Alpena.
∫ Tuesday, March 4 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. — Get Ready for Visitors, with Wendy Payne, at M. Briggs Center.
∫ Wednesday, March 5 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Writing Workshop, with MaryAnn Krajnik Crawford, at M. Briggs Center.
∫ Thursday, March 6 from 1 to 2 p.m. — Starting Seeds Indoors, with Gerald Ciarkowski, at M. Briggs Center.
∫ Tuesday, March 11 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. — Finding and Making Rocks Beautiful, with Rob Abram, at M. Briggs Center.
∫ Thursday, March 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. — How to Raise a Citizen, with Tim Kuehnlein, at CTR 114 on the campus of Alpena Community College.
∫ Tuesday, March 18 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. — Northeast Michigan Materials Management Authority, with Bailey Barr, at M. Briggs Center.
∫ Wednesday, March 19 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Journal Writing, Sharing Stories, with MaryAnn Krajnik Crawford, at M. Briggs Center.
∫ Wednesday, March 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. — Hobby Radio Made Simple, with Kevin Chandler, at M. Briggs Center.
∫ Thursday, March 20 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. — Behind the Scenes with the Alpena County Road Commission, with Ryan Brege, at M. Briggs Center.
∫ Sunday, March 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. — Alpena Civic Theatre presents “Steel Magnolias” at ACT, 401 River St., Alpena. The cost is $20 per ticket, with payment due to the ALL office by 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 13.
∫ Tuesday, March 25 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. — Where are we at now on Enbridge Line 5 oil pipeline? This program will be led by Greg Awtry, at M. Briggs Center.
∫ Thursday, March 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. — The March Happening, honoring ALL program coordinators, will be held in the Stillion Room at Alpena County Library. The suggested lunch donation is $15. Call 989-358-7207 to reserve your spot.
∫ Thursday, March 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. — AHS Tech Workshop, with the Alpena High School DECA group, will be held at M. Briggs Center. Donations are welcome.
Recurring March sessions include: Pickleball: 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the APlex; Duplicate Bridge Club: 12:15 to 4 p.m.; Mexican Train Express dominoes: 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays at M. Briggs Center; Pinochle: 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays at M. Briggs Center; Spitzer: 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursdays at M. Briggs Center; Contract Bridge: 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Fridays at M. Briggs Center; and Square Dancing: 4 to 6 p.m. on Fridays at M. Briggs Center.
