Alcona Donkey Basketball game raises funds for FFA, athletics

A large crowd came out to support and enjoy a Donkey Basketball game on Wednesday evening at Alcona High School, with proceeds going to the school’s FFA and athletic programs.

Staff, students, and community members rode donkeys in the gymnasium, playing basketball for a good cause. The teachers beat the students 6-2, then the FFA team bested the first responders team 12-6. Then, in the championship game, the FFA beat the teachers 4-2.

Free donkey rides were also offered to children in attendance.
