ALPENA — Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union (AAACU) recently donated $200 to the Thunder Bay Folk Society to support their 10th Annual Thunder Bay Folk Festival set for this September.

Originally, the festival’s 10th anniversary was planned for September 2024, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the Thunder Bay Folk Society was forced to postpone the event to this year. All funds raised will go toward producing a quality music festival.

To celebrate a decade of providing live music, art, and workshops to the communities of Northeast Michigan, the Thunder Bay Folk Society plans to host some special events that will be announced in the coming months.

The Thunder Bay Folk Festival also strives to give back to the community by utilizing local vendors for merchandise, catering and other festival utilities.
