Bright presents research at Albion College
ALPENA — Cooper Bright presented an original academic project during Albion College’s recent Elkin R. Isaac Student Research Symposium. Bright co-presented “Learning Iconic and Arbitrary Signs in American Sign Language” during the Symposium poster session.
During the Symposium’s Honors Convocation, Bright received “recognition for holding the top grade-point average among the Class of 2027. These awards, bestowed by faculty in each department, are intended to recognize their most promising and accomplished students.
For more than three decades, the Elkin R. Isaac Research Symposium has highlighted Albion’s best student research, scholarship, and creative activity. Presentations are selected from work performed under the supervision of an Albion College faculty member, or in a college-approved off-campus program.
Bright is majoring in psychology with a minor in educational studies. Bright is the child of William and Cindy Bright of Alpena and is a graduate of Alpena High School.
