Pop-Up Pantry Saturday at Alpena County Fairgrounds

ALPENA — A Pop-Up Pantry will start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Alpena County Fairgrounds, 625 S. 11th Ave., Alpena.

This event is first-come, first-served, and there is a limited supply of food, provided by the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, in partnership with My Michigan Health, and the Hillman National Honor Society.

Thunder Bay Martial Arts tournament rescheduled for June

ALPENA — Thunder Bay Martial Arts has rescheduled its karate tournament that had been planned for this Saturday. It will now be held on June 14.

Thunder Bay Martial Arts is located at the APlex at 701 Woodward Ave. in Alpena.

SMART Money Storytime Saturday at Alpena library

ALPENA — SMART Money Storytime with Northland Area Federal Credit Union will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Alpena County Library, 211 N. 1st Ave., Alpena.

Join the Library and Northland Area Federal Credit Union for a fun and informative storytime session followed by crafts and activities. Cinders McLeod’s book “Save It” is a charming introduction to simple money concepts in which a little bunny learns about the power and satisfaction that come with saving money. Each family will receive a copy of the book to take home, while supplies last.
