Comedy tonight at APlex

ALPENA — The APlex presents Comedy Night with Chris Young and Brian McCree tonight at 701 Woodward Ave., Alpena. Admission is $11 per person, and doors open at 6 p.m. Ger ready for a night filled with non-stop laughter and entertainment as these two talented comedians take the stage.

PRESQUE ISLE — The Long Lake Improvement Association will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Parker House Restaurant, 24732 U.S.-23 North. This meeting is open to the public.

Spring cleaning: Time to prep for city-wide garage sales

ALPENA — The eighth annual Alpena City-wide Garage Sale event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28.

Spring is a great time to start cleaning out your home and prepare to participate in the summer garage sales.

The cost to participate is $15 for one day, or $20 for both days. Maps of locations within the city limits will be available closer to the date. The money collected with cover the event and a portion will be saved for seed money for the following year. The balance will be divided and donated to the Huron Humane Society and Friends Together.

Payment must be made by cash only. Checks will not be accepted.

Applications and cash may be turned into the Alpena Area Chamber of Commerce, with the deadline of 1 p.m. on June 23. If you have questions, email alpenagaragesale@gmail.com.
