First Assembly fundraiser dinner on April 26 to benefit the Alpena Baby Pantry

ALPENA — First Assembly of God will host a fundraiser dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 with all proceeds to the Alpena Baby Pantry. The fundraiser had to be rescheduled because of the ice storm.

Instead of charging a set price for the dinner, the church will be accepting donations of diapers to the Baby Pantry. Diapers are needed in sizes 3 to 6. If you bring a big box of diapers (about 126 count), that will buy two dinners. Or you can bring two small packs of 32-count diapers to get one dinner.

The menu includes pan-fried perogies made with onion and bacon, sauerkraut, sausage, cabbage rolls, sinkers and bacon, red cabbage cole slaw, fresh-baked bread, and dessert. Dinners can be eaten in the dining hall, or made to-go.
