Dec. 28

2:06 a.m.: A report of car/deer accident was made in Loud Township on M 33 just south of Harwood Rd. MCSO Deputy responded to area and no injuries were reported.

12:09 a.m.: A commercial alarm was activated at the Family Fare in Lewiston. MCSO Deputies responded to find the building secured.

11:50 a.m.: A structure fire in Loud Township was reported via 911. Tri Township Fire along with Hillman and Albert Township Fire Departments all responded to the scene. The structure was a total loss.

4:21 p.m.: A truck at a local business was reported to be on fire, the Hillman Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene.

Dec. 29

4:59 p.m.: During a traffic stop on M-32 in Briley Township a 48 year old male from Westland was arrested for no security. Subject was lodged.

Dec. 30

12:07 a.m.: Officers responded to an abandoned vehicle that had struck a tree at the end of Oak St in Albert Township. Vehicle was towed and owner was later located at his residence.

10:23 a.m.: A MCSO Deputy responded to a 3 vehicle minor accident on M-32 in front of the BP Gas Station. No one was injured and all units cleared at 11:07 a.m.

5:46 p.m.: A report of a vehicle obstructing traffic on M-32 west of Hillman near Edwards Rd. MCSO Deputy responded and vehicle was removed from the road.

Dec. 31

2:57 p.m.: MCSO Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute in Avery Township. A female was arrested and lodged in Montmorency Co. jail for domestic violence.

5:20 p.m.: MCSO Deputies transported one male subject from Kalkaska County to MCSO Jail on a warrant arrest.

6:42 p.m.: MCSO Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Rust Township. Both parties were separated for the night.

Jan. 1

2:04 a.m.: MCSO Deputies, Hillman Fire and EMS responded to a residence in Twin Dams for a fire. Upon arrival firefighters were able to control the fire. All units cleared without incident.

9:23 a.m.: A Hillman resident advised there was an injured otter in his yard, DNR was advised.

6:18 p.m.: While deputies were in Albert township following up on a report, a traffic stop was initiated resulting in the driver being arrested for driving on a suspended license. Subject was lodged.

9:53 p.m.: Deputies were requested for a dispute in Briley Township, they responded and parties were separated. Deputies cleared without incident.

Jan. 2

11:50 a.m.: An assault in a Briley Township business was reported. Deputies responded, took statements. Investigation is ongoing.

Jan. 3

8:18 a.m.: An officer responded to a residential burglar alarm on Fleming Rd.
