News Photo by Crystal Nelson The SS Alpena pulled into the dock around 10 a.m. Sunday at the LafargeHolcim’s cement plant in Alpena to pick up its first load of cement for the 2021 shipping season. As of Sunday morning, the freighter was scheduled to be loaded with 11,000 tons of cement before leaving for Detroit. The freighter is owned by Andrie Transportation Group and Inland Lakes Management, Inc.
