ALPENA — A 14-year-old Alpena girl who police believed ran away from home this week has been found safe, police said this morning.

The Alpena Police Department said Friday that Ella Hunter had run away from her home on Wednesday and sought the public’s help in finding her.

This morning, Alpena Police Chief Eric Hamp announced Hunter had been found safely.
