Ben Henry brings hockey success to Alpena AD role

ALPENA — Alpena High School ushers in a new chapter in its athletic program with the appointment of Ben Henry, an Alpena High alumnus and accomplished hockey coach, as athletic director.

Henry replaces Jon Studley, who has transitioned into a leadership role at Alternative Choices for Educational Success Academy.

Henry, known for his success as the Alpena High hockey coach, has already served as the school’s interim athletic director. His connection to Alpena runs deep as a former student and a coach, making his appointment a point of pride for the school and the community.

His leadership on the ice earned him a strong reputation, and many are eager to see how he will translate those coaching skills into his new role overseeing all of the Wildcats’ athletic programs.

Henry is expected to continue promoting a competitive yet supportive environment for Alpena HIgh athletes. His leadership style is known for its blend of discipline and encouragement.
