Street maintenance on Chisholm Street and State Avenue, from Prentiss Street to 8th Avenue in Alpena begins today.

In a press release, the city says traffic will be maintained by lane shifts and traffic regulators, however, motorists may experience delays and are advised to seek alternate routes. There will be no parking on either side of Chisholm Street, from 5th Avenue to 8th Avenue in the work zones for the duration of the project. Vehicles parked in this area may be towed at the owner’s expense if construction operations are affected. This work is expected to last a week to complete unless weather or construction delays occur.
