52 troopers graduate from MSP 147th Recruit School
Michigan communities will soon benefit from the addition of 52 state troopers who graduated Thursday from the 147th Trooper Recruit School, according to a press release from the Michigan State Police.
The 147th Trooper Recruit School began on July 7 at the MSP Training Academy in Lansing. Recruits received training in patrol techniques, report writing, ethics, cultural diversity and implicit bias, decision-making, leadership, first aid, criminal law, crime scene processing, firearms, water safety, defensive tactics, and precision driving.
Quinten Goldberg, of Harrisville, has been assigned to the Alpena Post, the MSP release said.
The MSP is actively recruiting for future trooper recruit schools, including the 149th Trooper Recruit School slated to begin in July 2025. Persons interested in learning more should visit www.michigan.gov/MSPjobs for information on how to apply.
