ALPENA — The News is looking to keep its tradition of sharing holiday content alive, but the newspaper is looking for some help from the community.

Each year, beginning the day after Thanksgiving and continuing through Christmas Eve, The News has celebrated the holiday countdown by sharing a holiday-themed story or photo on the front page of the newspaper every day.

This year, The News is asking the community to contribute to that tradition by sharing holiday stories and/or photos they’d like to share with local readers.

Content can include holiday parties, family holiday memories, visits with Santa, decorating for the holidays, stories of traditions, cookie baking, shopping strategies, enjoying snowy weather, community events, and more.
