Alpena gyms to host various festive workout sessions
ALPENA — This holiday season, local gyms are offering festive workout sessions for those looking to get into the spirit of fitness before the new year.
Bay Urban Fitness on River Street will be offering a Holiday Unwind Yoga class on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Participants can enjoy Yin Yoga with holiday-inspired scents and sounds. The class is free for members and $15 for guests.
If you are looking for a faster-paced workout, there will also be a holiday cycling class on Saturday at 7 a.m. The class is $5 for members and $15 for guests.
The Bay Athletic Club on Chisholm Street will be featuring a Christmas Eve holiday blast workout on Tuesday at 9 a.m. This class will provide a mix of strength and cardio. It will be free for members and $15 for guests.
The Club offers over thirty classes both live and virtual. Memberships to the club include a free personal training session to help clients set goals and develop a fitness plan.
SkellaFit will also be hosting festive workout sessions for members.
There will be a Santa’s Elves workout on Christmas Eve at 6 a.m., 9 a.m., 3:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
If you aren’t a member of SkellaFit, they are offering a Try Our Training four pack. The four pack can be used to try boxing, yoga, pilates, MMA, or full-body strength sessions. This offer will provide those interested with a chance to see what a membership will offer. The training sessions are valid for use in January.

Zen 24 Hour Fitness Center is providing a holiday discount for those interested in checking out the 24-hour gym in Alpena. Potential clients can try a three-month membership at Zen for $100. The holiday offer will be available until Jan. 31.
