APS, bus drivers reach new deal
Alpena Public Schools has reached an agreement with the union representing its bus drivers and bus attendants and the district’s board approved the deal on Monday.
The contract runs until June 30, 2027 and includes annual pay increases, the addition of a health savings account match, and additional paid holidays.
“Our bus drivers take on a difficult task daily, providing a vital service to our students and families,” district spokesman Lee Fitzpatrick said in a statement. “This community appreciates all of those who do this difficult work.”
