The News will not print an edition on Thursday after President Joe Biden declared a federal holiday to honor the late President Jimmy Carter, meaning postal carriers will not deliver that day.

News subscribers still can read their All-Access e-edition of the paper that day through the All-Access app or at TheAlpenaNews.com. Stories still will be published to TheAlpenaNews.com.

The News’s offices in downtown Alpena will remain open.

Publication will resume as normal Jan. 10.
